Happy Tuesday friends! Can you believe it's July first?! This year is flying by. I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far! My week of visiting family & friends in Indiana in the beginning of June turned into a full month of visiting & hanging out with them & I'm so lucky I've been able to spend time with them. I promise I haven't forgot about you all! I haven't really been doing any projects, but my lovely sister wanted me to make this diy for her, so I happily said yes & of course had to share it with you guys!
This diy was pretty easy to do, although it may look very intimidating. We scored this wood piece at Goodwill for a dollar. We cut out Indiana on her cricut, along with the heart & then I taped the Indiana cutout in the center of the wood piece & then hammered the 1 x 17 wire brads around the cutout. This actually went by pretty quickly once I got in the rhythm.
After I hammered the wire brads around the Indiana cutout, I then pulled off the cutout & placed the heart down & did the same as I did for the Indiana cutout. Once that was all done, I used white string & just looped from one wire brad to the heart. You can use any technique to get a different look.
That's all there is to it! I'm so happy with the way it turned out & glad it didn't take as long as I thought it would. Most importantly, my sister loves it & that's all that matters to me really. What do you think of the state string art? Have you made something similar? I'd love to know! As always, thanks for stopping by!
